For lack of space, I put this entry
over here. It is a 12 minute video
clip of the Inauguration speech of
the new Governor David Paterson,
replacing disgraced and ousted
former Governor Eliot Spitzer. He
is our first Black Governor, and
he is legally blind. He is the son
of a prominent Harlem political
family.

It is worth everyone to watch, although
I cannot guarantee you just how long
this LINK will be up for viewing
before it gets quickly rotated out
by the hosting newspaper who has
put it out.

It is not yet posted on YouTube and
I'll be watching for the full run
to show up there. I saw the entirety
of this today, and WOW what a time
in our history this really is.

This man is both Black and blind,
has a wonderful beautiful family,
and has overcome the odds by being
rooted from Harlem.

His speech was just wonderful, and
it really does project just what
kind of a very capable guy he really
is.

These are wonderful times in America
where we are passing through the
torch-passing, to a new generation
of working Executive Blacks, with
full of Can-Do and tremendous leadership
skills, and the first glimpse to the
end of an Era where the qualified ones
have been held up, backed up, put down,
and shut down before they even got
their foot in the door to show their
real STUFF !!

There is no way that any intelligent
person in todays society can look
at these wonderful TV images as they
come out one after another, and not
smile in admiration, in celebration
along with them, and in private applause
in your own living rooms. It's been
a long time a'comin, and the day
has finally arrived where America
can finally sit back and say: We
are on the right track, all of us
together.

The balance of power has been remarkably
shifted in New York, and as a SuperDelegate,
Governor Paterson will have to weigh
out which Primary candidate benefits
from his new post. This will be an issue
of interest in days ahead with this
new Governor.

But let the whinning and excuse-factories
be put on Notice, that this video clip
is THE WAY, and THE ONLY WAY, to move
on up and get to the door of equality.
It's work, it's earned, it's studied,
and it's applied longevity over time.

Todays speech was truly a historic
moment in New York history, and not
a minute too soon either. Whether or
not this kind of glory can also spill
over into the White House remains to
be seen. But do take time to see this
little video, and take in the TREAT
that this really is as we all start
to get comfortable with the idea
that something new and wonderful is
on the horizon for this United States.
