As you have already seen in my
older chat post here titled
"Oprah: The Democrat Program",
Oprah Winfrey has been no fan
of U.S. military troops nor has
she even extended her TV show
to profile America's best on
any given day.

While post-service Veterans do
have wide and far reaching
national issues that virtually
any patriotic audience in
America could relate to, even
a bunch of psychotic women with
way, way, way too much time
on their hands who largely make
up the devotee-squads of Oprah's
studio audiences.

Now THERE's a novel idea for a
TV show: a bunch of left alone
women and their celebrity counterparts
all gathered in a TV studio
fixating and obsessing over themselves
day in and day out, no matter
how repititive, no matter how
uninteristing, no matter how
unproductive. Go Figure !!

Don't get me wrong, I like Oprah
as a person and she has done
a lot single handedly to change
the look of Black women everywhere
in this country from the excuse
factory Aunt Jemima crowd with
300 kids with no job all before
the age of 25, into a true makeover
of the ICON career and business woman
who can do it all and make money
at it. This has been a true
public service all by itself Oprah,
so you can stop right there. We knew
your kind was out there, we were
just waiting for one of you to
show yourselves.

But it's here that Oprah starts
crossing the line into something
else.

At what point does Oprah Winfrey
make ENOUGH money, exactly, so
that we can start seeing LESS of her
instead of more?? The same can
be said of spinoffs Rachel Ray
and Dr. Phil.

TV is rapidly descending in this
country into a freefall of brain-dead
and Jackass on a scale that we
have never really seen before in
such a sweeping way taking over
the networks. They are forcing
just about any stupid idea that
comes along in the producers food
chain, with the most predominate
categories largely coming from
"reality shows" and "news" shows.

Oprah Winfrey is about to start
a new hairbrained show called
The Big Give. Why I just don't
know. Apparently she feels the
need to be in our faces every
waking hour of the day like a bad
email chain letter that refuses
to die on the Internet. Which
then brings up the next subject
of whether or not Oprah Winfrey
just plain has BiPolar Disorder
and she wants everybody to know it.

Like it's not enough to just
make a lot of money in a multi-million
dollar media empire which already
has so much money that entire
audiences in her studio receives
one of the same in large and
expensive gifts. So now here comes
the second TV show that the rest
of us are not exactly wanting.

10 contestants are handed a big
wad of money and have to find
individuals to spend it on in
a race format to make the dreams
come true of those individuals.
Well.........WHY ??? And then the
winner of this race wins $1 million
dollars for themselves.

All of this while there is a war
going on and troops are bankrupting
into homeless shelters everywhere,
not necessarily of their own doings.

If Oprah has such a commitment
to the idea of charity, then
why not just set a few up as
she has been doing on other
projects such as those in New
Orleans, etc. --- but also be
inclusive of the troops and the
Veterans too? And is it me,
or is there just way, way too
much money exchanging hands
here in the pursuit of "entertainment"
and where Oh where is all of
this money coming from? Her?

There ought to be a more fair
and standardized way to have
somebody's dreams come true.

We are getting "talk shows" and
"news shows" and "reality shows"
thrown at us whether we want
them or not, with more and more
of it taking on personal whims,
idle and meaningless chatter,
and just people saying and doing
any ole dumb thing that comes
into their heads to artificially
create broadcast time to sell
to advertisers.

Consider the fact that I saw
a CNN news report the other
day on Angelina Jolie's apparent
new pregnancy as she whisked by
reporters sporting a new baby
bump. Get this: CNN felt the
need to have not one, not two,
but THREE freaking "correspondents"
(whoever they were), all taking
turns and occupying up to 5 full
minutes of Blah, Blah, Blah all
to explain to me the viewer
that Angelina is pregnant yet
again. Lucky for me I lifted
this by accident from the CNN
website as I refuse to pay for
cable TV for this endless stream
of JUNK to tie up my life.

The Matt Lauer show in the morning
is now touted as a "comedy schtick"
which it isn't, but if you follow
the commercial advertising, this
is how they try and deceive people
to watch.

America is drowning in more Shit-Brain
than what most of us can even
handle in any one day, and Oprah
Winfrey is glad to take those
of us who she routinely SNUBS as
part of the viewing population,
along for the ride whether or
not we would like to go along.

Hey Oprah: there are Veterans out
here. Take a valium and get real.
