As we prepared for our trip
to Capital Hill in Washington
for the independent veterans
who were going to appear there
to challenge the House Veterans
Affairs Committee powers on
a long list of veterans issues,
I had sent a total of 3 press
releases to major news groups
around the country including
all of the network TV stations
and their news and magazine
programs.

Not one returned an email of
interest, and not one showed
up to the event on Capital
Hill. Photos can be seen of
the event by all veterans
at
http://photos.yahoo.com/pcbveteran

NBC news hosted by Brian
Williams has to be one of
the most brain-dead TV shows
in all of broadcasting, and
for those who were on my
cc list to the press releases,
few would disagree that NBC
would not know a real news
story if it walked up and
bit them on the nose.

But NBC is actually hiding
a darker side on their
newscasts which you would
only know about if I pointed
it out to you.

They do this nightly report
"thing" regarding the New
Orleans disaster called
The Long Road Back
It seems innocuous enough
and as if NBC is trying to
do a good deed for the
hurricane survivors by
continuing to carry their
recovery (or lack of) stories.

But consider this.......
Had NBC not involved itself
with a news media boycott
on Veterans rights stories,
then the reality comes to
bear that NBC is partly the
cause of the tragedy that
fell upon New Orleans. Yup
I'm blaming NBC y'all.

You see, the writing has
been on the wall for several
years now that the Center
for Disease Control, the
VA, and the Department of
No-Health and InHuman Services
have all been broken and not
operational, and this is
only a stone's throw from
FEMA. If everything else
is a pile of crap, then who
would think in a rational
sense that FEMA was somehow
out there floating in George
Bush space all fine, well,
and good?? Not us Vets,
that is for sure because
we all know how to connect
the dots. Big Grin Wink

But apparently Brian
Williams is from Stupidville
and he figures that first
boycotting real news stories
followed by predictable
tragedies which he himself
and the NBC news crew could
have prevented by listening
to the Veterans who have been
responsibly trying to raise
national awareness about
the bungling and incompetence
of the agencies,is somehow
a clever choice, a wise
move, a rational thought,
or the true defintion of NEWS!
It isn't.

So what we have here is
first NBC boycotting the
Veterans Rights Movement
on one valid news story
after another, then standing
around as New Orleans
collapses, and then doing
a follow up segment to
give off the fake and
phoney appearances that
NBC is actually trying to
help the survivors.
Yeah Right !!!! Roll Eyes

NBC spends more effort
ignoring, blocking, concealing,
and covering up REAL news
stories than most of the
viewing public even knows
about.

When we arrived in DC for
our Capitol Hill appearance,
the only thing that was
pressing DC news for several
hours on end in a very
repeated way was 4 lousy
inches of snow that fell
on the ground in the early
afternoon that day. To those
of us who had just arrived
in New York, we were rolling
around on the floor in our
hotel rooms completely
laughing our canteens off !!
Who knew that DC and network
news was so stupid?

Let's all show the NBC news
programs just what the power
of 26 million veterans
switching to another channel
can do as payback for their
Veterans boycott. Be sure
to tell Brian Williams the
next time that you see him
that he needs to go him to
his wife and have a good life.

I agree with macat on this one, there has to be something really drastic to happen before the government or the news is ready to seriously listen to what the vets have been saying all these years.

we have to blow something up, shoot some one, or set something on fire; in order to get their attention. Wink Cool

News organization's have become numb to anything that doesn't meet the above critera which will boost their rating's, and frankley vet's complaning about issue's with the government; just doesn't fall into this category. Confused
