Elsewhere on this Forum page I have
entered a chat blog on Rep. Steve
Buyer called "Buyer In Denial On
VA", and in that I had made some
discussion about formal panel
testimony that Joe Voilante had
done on behalf of the DAV (disabled
american veterans) regarding the
statistical trends of the Court
of Veterans Appeals in their
processing of Veterans disability
claims.

I wanted to back that up, for just
a minute and rake it over in the
context of our illustrious
Asleep-At-The-Wheel news media.

The truth is, the majority of articles
that are ever done on Veterans issues
are fast and dirty and straight from
the Slacker's heart. They almost never
hit a home run in fully outting the
VA's mess and scandals in how they
treat medical patients inside the
national healthcare agency.

Once every 10 years we do manage
to squeek on by with a Walter Reed
headline which is well investigated,
written over a headline series of
several days, and also manages to
pick up TV news to boot. But more
often than not, this is the exception
and not the rule.

At a recent hearing on evaluating
the operations of the Court of
Veterans Appeals, DAV proceeded
to tell the Senate Veterans Affairs
Committee the following statistics
about the Veterans appeals rate
for disability applications from
the existing backlog of 700,000
cases, which has existed well before
the start of the Iraq War:

In 1990, the number of cases denied was 62%.
In 1992, the number of cases denied was 33%.
In 2007, the number of cases denied was 21%.


Is this not a drum beat for the TV
news shows such as 60 Minutes, or
DateLine or 20/20 to come and start
wiping their feet on the Dept. of
Veterans Affairs rug then I just don't
know what is.

The mere fact that a "veterans service
organization" could even have the
bearings to admit these statistics
publicly and then NOT organize their
millions of members into a full time
PICKET LINE around
the VA building itself in Washington,
only shows just how dysfunctional,
disconnected, and protective the
VSO's really are of the agency,
and are almost NEVER serving in the
real and true role of representing
Veterans rights.

If you have a Board of Veterans Appeals
and a Court of Veterans Appeals, all
staffed with high powered "prosecutor"
type lawyers from around the country,
up against sick and injured medical
patients who have no access to free
attorneys at all while they are
impoverished in denial by the system,
all of who are cranking out a 62%
denial rate of sick Veterans claims
while nobody is looking, then HELLO!!
get up off it and start rioting
in the streets to find out what the
Hell is going on, don't ya think??

Where is the investigation to
FIRE all of those VA Raters? Where
is the investigation to find out
how many Vet suicides and premature
deaths were caused the pressure
and stroke or heart failures of
the Veterans receiving these claims
denials in the mail?? Where is
the VA APOLOGY to the surviving
widows and families who lost Veterans
during this Murder Factory of a process
that all of official Washington has
now managed to line up and DENOUNCE
as either being accurate, valid,
or even humane at years end of 2007??

Our mainstream news is clubbing us
over the heads with every FART of
a move Britney Spears makes as if
any one of us gives a royal Rip --
and yet the story of a lifetime
breaks, and the TV reporters are
Slacking off at Dunkin Donuts!!
We are overun with Idiot News while
true matters of importance are missed
just on the Stupidity of not connecting
the dots. Where are the news organizations
with BRAINS ??

GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK,
I say and start getting up
off it and PROBE this stinking VA
system once and for all.

Bring in the CNN TV cameras and stick it
right over the shoulders of the VA
Raters and let's all get a load
of what VA Secretary's PAST have done
to all the Veterans as the machinery of
Nonsense To Nowhere has chewed all
of us up, and spit all of us out only to
crawl on our disabled hands and knees
back to the Regional Offices for one
more time and to do it all over again!!

Where is the "investigative reports"
to find out the names of the VA Judges
who trashed a whopping 62% of Veterans disability cases, and nobody had the brains
to even so much as ask questions about the
legitimacy of it all ?? Where is the
proverbial "Memorial Tribute Show" to
the Veterans who died while the VA
Raters took them all down to an early
grave they didn't deserve?? Where is
the Concert For the Poor Dead Veterans
By VA Raters?? These are fair questions
to know.

Where is the Justice for the sick,
the impoverished, and the DEPRIVED
who are still trapped in the dungeons
of PROCESS at the
VA ??

If the mainstream national news media
had brains, they'd be dangerous. This
is yet one more thing to prove and
show U.S. Military Veterans are caught
up in a life of morons and Retards who
can't get out of their own way, and
couldn't think their way out of a
wet paper bag if their lives depended
on it.
