For those of you who usually
like to watch the program
Entertainment Tonight on
TV, but then suddenly found the
program completely taken over and
hijacked by the Anna Nicole Smith
tragedy and events, and in more
recent months, the every waking
move of Britney Spears and
Lindsey Lohen, then you better
than most will understand where
I am headed with this blog.

Backing up for just a minute,
Anna Nicole Smith was never
a household name to begin with,
although her stupidity and
annoying slurred speech that
nobody could understand was
fodder for a good laugh on
how TV will give celebrity status
to the stupid and ridiculous
at the expense and exclusion of
all other interesting and legitimate
NEWS.

But then this circus took a dark
and bizarre twist when her son
Daniel fell to a mystery death,
followed very shortly by her
own death leaving a newborn baby alone
in the dark just weeks old.

The first layer of misplaced
celebrity status was then
transferred and bestowed to
those who have slept with the
blonde buffoon at large. News
Flash ET: Larry Birkhead and
Howard Stern are just another
guy on the move.

Now it's men sleeping with
the bore's of the day who
are topping the news as if
they themselves have accomplished
something requiring any skill
at all. Well ....... almost.

Let me ask you, do you really
CARE whether or not Britney
Spears is or is not wearing
underwear in the back of her
car ?? Do you really CARE if
she appears to have deliberately
flubbed the VMA so she could
get even MORE attention knowing
full well she is fat and out
of shape from her years of
partying and smoking?

Do you really CARE if Lindsey
Lohen is first in rehab, now
she's out, now she's in again,
Oops --- maybe out unauthorized
but here we go back in again ??

At a time when heroes and valor
are showing itself every single
day with both troops and injured
war Veterans, their miraculous
recovery stories go untold at
the expense of this other almost
cartoonish nonsense to nowhere
which is flooding the airwaves as
NEWS.

Veterans DO absolutely have
to organize around the entire
news media industry and begin
challenging the various CATEGORIES
of news filings which controls the
flow of national news stories.

Military just doesn't cut it
anymore.

Military has to be broken up
into sub-categories inside the
AP classification of news
coverage to include:

** active duty stories

** post service stories

** health and recovery stories

** parades and ceremony stories

** VA and DOD agency expose stories

** Hazardous Exposure stories
war or non-war

** men and womens gender and
race stories

and anything else you can all think
of to get this news media back
in line and closer to the truth.

To just stand around and allow
the news media to have their civilian
ways with us is just plain wrong.

There really does need to be
a Veterans Media Project to meet
with and take on the overall
TV and newspaper media outlets
to get this whole thing back
on track. It has to be a targetted
advocacy to force them into
an industry wide correction
on the classification of stories.

The Associated Press publishes
it's own college and training
books for new and up and coming
"journalists" who are majoring
in the subject in college, or
are entering the media business
as hired reporters. That is
the chain of information which
has to be interrupted and revised
for Veterans to get the access
they need for truthful and
willing reporter coverage in this
news industry.

We have to take this effort
on ourselves to make industry
change happen.

Finding intelligent enough reporters
who can even keep the complexities
of a VA or DOD story straight even
when it's told them, is another
big challenge inside the
TV news arena. Slacker reporters
who cannot grasp anything deep,
is the second layer of disaster
we are all faced with in getting
the word out with our news.
How do you explain VA corruption
to an idiot news reporter who
doesn't get it?? This is truly
an obstacle.

And getting back to my first
point on this blog, there really
should be a federal investigation
into the show operations of
Entertainment Tonight to determine
if they played a crucial role
in hounding, pestering, and
harrassing Anna Nicole Smith into
her grave. Forcing her to
talk over and over again on camera
about her newly deceased young
son may not have been the smartest
move ever made by a TV production
company.

Hey news media, get over yourselves !!
You are killing us with BORE !!!
