Well if you were a part of the stay at
home crowd who tuned into the memorial
service of trainwreck celebrity personality
Michal Jackson who died by his own
incompetent hand trying to do something
illegal with an arsenal of hospital level
drugs, then you already know that Congresswoman
Jackson-Lee of Texas made a ridiculous
attempt and borderline fool of herself
in presenting a "congressional resolution"
that had apparently been passed by a
floor vote from Congress declaring JackO
as a lifetime artist and entertainer.

This means Congress stood on it's head
and did cartwheels and handsprings to
first draft the resolution and then bring
it to a floor vote in a record 5 days
from start to finish.

In the meantime, backlogged Veterans
assistance bills are still caught up
for YEARS at a time in the wheel-spinning
machinery of PROCESS while very little
has been getting done for this legislative
session from the House Veterans Affairs
Committee.

What a differance an election year makes,
I say !!

We were getting Bills and markup hearings
at the rate of 5 or 6 per week last legislative
session and now it's a complete Ghost Town
down there in the halls of the House
of Representatives.

But not to worry: the system is never
too busy to honor an unprosecuted criminal
type with a trainwreck life and a trainwreck
identity all because he launched a few
successful hit record singles and was
a once-upon-a-time type, all is supposed
to be forgiven.

This really does show what is wrong with
Congress and why nothing very important
ever gets done in the national veterans
arena. They are too busy pandering to
Trainwreck Celebrities.
