Those people who wish to save
the audio file on this all
important hearing which includes
the testimony of John Roberts
about the inner workings of
VARO Cleveland, can do so
as follows (ya need to do this
soon before it is rotated OFF
the House website):

1. Load your computer with a CD

2. Click on the "AUDIO COVERAGE"
link in the upper right hand
corner using the RIGHT side
of your mouse.

3. Select "SAVE TARGET AS..."

4. Direct your file SAVE to the
CD you just finished loading

5. Execute the COPY function that
comes up on your computer. Be
sure to give your file a
recognizable name because the
default is the date of the hearing.

There has been a significant
hearing on the up and coming issue
of Claims Automation and Artificial
Intelligence based adjudication
systems for future VA Comp and Pen
disability claims.

Kicking off the hearing was Marine
Ty Cleveland with his wife helping
him to do the testimony statements.
Ty was not a combat case, but instead,
injured in training.

This was not even the worse case
scenario who could have been brought
to channel the justification for
this particular hearing, but Ty
and his wife did an outstanding
job in representing their own story
and advancing the idea of Claims
Automation.

What happened next, may very well
have taken the VA by surprise as
they were in the room armed with
their newly appointed VA lawyer
(OGC) Paul Hutter.

John Roberts appeared shortly after
the Clevelands, only under the title
as head of the Wounded Warrior project.
As the room became deathly quiet,
John Roberts also revealed himself
as a former Supervisor of Claims at
a VA Regional Office in Texas. When
John got done describing the small
details of what happens to a Veterans
claim right from the moment they
receive it at VARO, the Congressional
Committee (DAMA) could barely catch
their breath to resume the hearing
and restrain their own reactions.

Ya only need to hear the very first
1 hour of this audio file on the
hearing. After John talks, there is
nowhere for the VA to run and hide
with their excuses. Along the way,
other panelists do stand up to be
counted that ...the burden is
left on the Veteran to make fixes
and corrections caused by the VA
Raters .....!!!!

It is here that I bring in our old
discussion on the failures, incompetency,
and one more reason why VSO's absolutely
need to be taken out of the Claims
processing mix: because this testimony
by John Roberts, who was under oath
at the time, confirms once and for
all that the VSO's are tag-alongs-to-get-along
and are way, way, way, way, too
ENTRENCHED with the VA to adequately
do claims or to otherwise represent the
interests of Veterans Rights. The VSO's themselves are fully OUTTED by the John
Roberts testimony, as forcing sick
and injured Veterans to endure screwed
up and bungled VA RULING documents which
are otherwise wholly dismissable when
in the hands of a licensed attorney.

We have said this time and time again,
and now here ya have it under sworn
testimony by another Veteran in the know,
that the system is beyond broken while
the VSO's themselves have done nothing
at all to make the proper adjustments
in Veterans claims.

Activists are encouraged to listen
in as soon as possible as this page

then you will have NOTHING at all
to fall back onto. There is great
small detail information on the chaos
of VA claims processing, and then
the Committee glazed over that part
and moved on ahead with the feasibility
of Automation questions.

There is a half hour recess in this
audio hearing while they all left
to enter votes on the Presidents
Tax Stimulous Package which made
the news that day. Just scroll your
audio player ahead by 30 minutes and
the hearing does resume.
