The former 14th Army WAC Band will
be holding their next Company Reunion
on the grounds of Fort McClellan,
Alabama during the week of October 5
through October 9 next year in 2010.

The week usually ends in a full concert
and photo displace and welcoming center
at the former (and now memorialized)
WAC Chapel on the grounds of the base.

The concert event is open to the public
and there will be more on that date
announced later. It is usually the
Friday night at the end of Reunion
Week.

This is one of the last rememberance
gatherings that actually takes place
on the grounds of the base and is
within walking distance of the former
WAC Training Battallion and the former
HQ command building fronting Marshall
Field.

The WAC Veterans Association has been
providing us with a Color Guard to
add their flare to the occassion and
former legend D.I's such as Sgt. Helen
Johnston does come to these to say
Hello to all who come.

Men and family WAC relatives are also
welcome to come to this.

If you have to travel some for this,
then you absolutely DO have to start
saving your money for the trip. Nothing
is cheap anymore not even gas money.
Anniston does have car rentals, an airport,
a Greyhound Bus Station and an Amtrak
Station but it's an empty building with
no staff so bring your cell phones.

I will help coordinate planning information
for you with the Band people if this is
what ya wanna do next year as something
new for a little change. It may be your
very last access to the grounds of the
base to walk around and take it all in.

The concert event is a huge success every
year and they do need an audience to play
for so put your inhibitions aside and
come to Fort McClellan where it all began
for you as a snot nosed Plebe !!
