Has anyone ever tried to get a veteran land board loan? What a joke!! they will only do a loan for "$80,000"

With the way land prices are these day's; that's hardly enough. I wanted to buy 20 acres in the country; the price for the property was $110,000, and come to find out i would have to come up with $30,000 this includes the 5% requirement.

That's a years pay for me, does anyone know of any other way around this process?
