We have made an important connection
with someone in the VACO Comp & Pen Office who is now compiling the claims and contact information for all Fort McClellan Veterans so they can begin receiving Notification Letters at some point advising them they have served in a verified chemical contamination zone. All Fort McClellan Veterans who were stationed at the base up until 1978 are asked to contact DAVE ABBOTT, 202-273-8947 or Email: capdabbo@vba.va.gov with your contact information, years stationed at Fort McClellan, and any health conditions which leads you to suspect you are a chemical exposure victim. Also, please look inside your personal Vet trunk and see if you have any old copies of transfer orders back in the day which may have the names or service numbers of other people in your class who was either inbound or outbound from Fort McClellan as they will be listed on your orders the same as you are. Please send copies of those orders also to DAVE ABBOTT at VACO. Sue Frasier, VEV 1970 Army Signal Corps national activist/protester staff Blogger, VFJ |
