As you know already, I had a 2-part
round about trip to Washington DC, first returning home just a day before the Memorial Day holiday, then having to go back unexpectedly just earlier last week to deliver papers they had asked for while I was still recovering from my May trip. We are expecting a small announcement later on at the end of this week, so for that reason, I am chopping up my trip reports into small releases as we pave the way for other things coming. All people who served at Fort McClellan, Alabama between 1955 and 1978, and especially if you have a disease or disability history that has emerged since that time, I ask that you stay tuned here to this FORUM at the very least on a weekly basis as we start to anticipate other announcements coming from various destinations in Washington. We ask that you hold off trying to join our McClellan list right now because the demand and workload that Washington is bringing in for this McClellan project is robbing our ability to recruit more members and get them up to speed on what the advocacy pursuit is. Just stand by and stay plugged into this FORUM page as there is for sure, movement on the McClellan matter and I cannot tell you just yet how the announcements will actually be packaged at official sources when it does. For this Part 1 release, I will give out the first matter stemming from my trips. The Government Accounting Office (GAO) has agreed to do our veterans population study from Fort McClellan. This is seperate from the commitment we already have from the Institute of Medicine to do our national health study also. The authorization papers for the GAO study are in the works and that is all I can say safely at this point. The meeting went well and they were very glad that I hooked up with them and the guy knew quite a lot about McClellan as a base already so it made my job easier on presentation. So for the first significant piece of my trip reporting, the GAO is now on the same page with the rest of the effort to advance the Fort McClellan legislation. I am sure more will be coming on this topic but this is as far as I can talk on it right now. Women if you are from Fort McClellan, there is an entire slew of IMPOSTERS and fakers and impersonators on this internet pretending to be somewhow fronting the Fort McClellan issue. Don't listen to them, they are idiots and if you saw them all in person then you would immediately know what a deceptive JOKE they are. We have been fighting them for a long time now, and the better part of them are addicts, psychotics, and former homeless shelter bum types and NOT exactly who you would want to take your information from. We are the only official Fort McClellan group that Washington has recognized through our advocacy efforts, and we are very much near the end of these efforts before the transition to VA oversight finally occurs. So pass on by all the internet BobbleHeads because they are NOT connected to us in any way. Official Washington is talking to US and we are the ones getting our foots in the door. So stay plugged in right here at Vets for Justice and I will get matters posted as soon as they become known to me officially and publicly.
