Does anone have any info on how to obtain photos of the base back in the 1980's. I have searched online and I have had no luck. The website now has limited photos of the base at the present time.

The best known photo collection of Fort
McClellan sits in 3 places and you have
to go there in person to get your own
copies:

1. The Calhoun County Library, The
Alabama Room has the entire collection
of pristine new copies of the McClellan
News, the official base newspaper.

2. The Calhoun County Library, main
branch has various building construction
photos from the many upgrades of the
base through the years.

3. The Army Womens Museum, Fort Lee
Virginia. The entire WAC collection is
there including photos and this would
run into the 1980's after WAC Center
was decommissioned to follow the women
troops integrating into the MP School.

I hope this helps.
