about former Republican Steve Buyer
who is now reduced to the Minority
Chair at the House Veterans Affairs
Committee.

Here is ole Stevo trying to introduce
his new idea of a dental plan for
Veterans. It is also a stunning example
of Steve's incompetence and why he
is no longer the Majority Chairman.

Steve hops and skips from one charade
to another to another all trying to
trick and deceive Veterans, never
once catching up to the idea that we
are all on the Internet now and
actually do talk to each other
and have brains to sort out these
buffoonish stunts.

Yes a Veterans dental plan is an
outstanding idea. After that, this
all goes straight to hell in a
handbasket.

He has patterned the new all Veterans
idea of dental plan after the
all exclusive dental plan currently
available under TriCare for the
military retirees.

The new plan would be paid for by
the Veteran enrollees, so it is
here that the gift idea starts
slip-sliding away. It is NOT
an entitlement to Veterans but
instead, a "paid offering" to
Veterans if the program is enacted.

One small oversight ole Stevo!!!

Military retirees do have income
up to the eyeballs. They are not
the part of our population who
is necessarily either trapped in
the VA claims backlog OR otherwise
hurting for money. Some of their
incomes would make Donald Trump
scratch his head and be impressed.

When you slap impoverished, trapped,
POOR, low income and backlogged
Veterans with the SAME kind of
FEES which are extorted from the
military retirees, well it is only
then that the LightBulb comes on
and you can start to see where
this Republican grandstanding moment,
comes up empty and not very appealing
to the masses at hand.

It is these very kinds of bungles,
screwups, and deliberate switch
and bait tactics that Steve Buyer
is almost always known for. It can
be said that trickery or incompetence,
either one, is his signature.

But as bad as things get at the
VA, Steve Buyer never gives up in
his pursuits to gain a point with
Veterans everywhere by leading them
all by their noses straight into
a concept of sabotage and doom
that only an Idiot will blindly
rubber-stamp. For as long as somebody
will actually pay him 3 full minutes
of attention, then there is Steve
Buyer yet again trying to play
the newest fast one on poverty
Veterans everywhere.

If you are dirt-poor and still trapped
in the VA claims backlog, then there
is nothing in this idea for YOU now
is there? Ho Hum just another day
in the Hood, now don't ya think?

So, if you are interested in a
Dental Plan which you alone will
have to pay for, then line up
to applaud Steve Buyer by all
means. This is the Republican way
folks, and DO remember that a
presidential election is coming
up just a few months away.

We can only stand around and guess
how many corporate Bribes were
paid by the Dental company to land
THIS little predatory GEM from the
halls of the Republicans!!

Buyer Introduces Veterans and Survivors Dental Insurance Act of 2008

Washington, D.C. - Today, U.S. Rep. Steve Buyer (R-Ind.), introduced H.R. 6277, the Veterans and Survivors Dental Insurance Act of 2008.

Buyer, who is Ranking Republican on the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs made the following statement:

“Madam Speaker, today I am introducing the Veterans and Survivors Dental Insurance Act of 2008. This legislation would authorize the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to offer a voluntary dental insurance plan for certain veterans, their survivors and dependents.

In 1997, Congress first authorized the TRICARE Retiree Dental Program (TRDP). As Chairman of the House Armed Services Military Personnel Subcommittee during the 105th and 106th Congresses, I helped champion the TRDP program. It is a voluntary, all-enrollee-paid dental program that currently covers over 800,000 retired members of the uniformed services, including National Guard and Reserve personnel, and their families. This program offers military retirees an affordable comprehensive dental benefit program that covers diagnostic and preventive services, basic restorative services, periodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and dental emergencies.

Madam Speaker, this legislation would simply provide eligible veterans, survivors, and dependents the option of enrolling in a high-quality and affordable dental care plan similar to what is available for military retirees under TRDP. I assure my colleagues that nothing in this Act would diminish the responsibility of the Secretary to provide dental care under current law. Eligibility for VA dental benefits according to law would not change.

Good dental health is important to overall health and quality of life. I urge my colleagues to cosponsor the Veterans and Survivors Dental Insurance Act of 2008.”
