Rep. Bob Filner has been caught
trying a fake and phoney stunt
to apparently thwart the Stakeholders
attempt to bring a decisive end
to the VA disability claims backlog,
while at the same time, bringing
a decisive end to VSO's being
involved in Veterans claims.

On the official website at the
House Veterans Affairs Committee,
Filner has had the balls to post
the details of an "award" that
was given to him as "legislator
of the year" by a group of PAID
County veterans service officers
who may or may not themselves,
even be Veterans since there is
no such requisite into that hiring
position.

We have seen this as an empty
attempt by Filner to put VSO's
at the front of the bribe-center
and to somehow pass them off
as NOT the blaim for the current
national backlog crisis which
nearly 1 million sick Veterans
are all trapped in.

This is also an attempt to put
those who are working and earning
regular county or state government
wages with full benefits, against
the poverty extremes of the backlog
victims who can barely get by
from one day to the next. Apparently
Mr. Filner believes in Omission
to silence their voices who are
calling for a complete END to VSO's
being involved in Veterans claims.
If ya speak on one, and not the
other, then the falsity of a smoke
and mirrors stunt prevails.

We see the timing of this also
remarkably suspicious on the heels
of the resubmitted H.R. 5089 VA
Disability Refort Act which blatantly
calls for the complete end of VSO's
being involved in Veterans claims.

A few of the committee members
are on our direct email advocacies
which are issued weekly, sometimes
daily depending on what is happening
in our arena, so there is no excuse
for this attempt at Deception by
Rep. Bob Filner when he knows full
well there is a significant and valid
constituency out here pushing for
the swift demise of VSO's involvement
in disability claims.

To that end, the fax statement
below was issued to nearly all 30
of the House Committee members
and to Filner himself, and he
was reminded once again that we
really do have brains out here
and the old days of stunts and
gimmicks are long, long, long
behind us now.

TO: ALL MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE
VETERANS AFFAIRS COMMITTEE


We enter this statement to flatly condemn and deny the practice of California "VSO's" (veterans service organizations)
issuing phoney "AWARDS" and the like to members of this committee, apparently as bribes to advance their own legislative agendas which are contrary to the advocacies and pursuits of veteran Stakeholders.

Whether the VSO's are county government workers, or state government workers, or parasite non-profit organizations
who are unoversighted and unqualified per the findings of the Veterans Disability Benefits Commission and Center for Naval Analysis,
we do NOT consider VSO's of any
kind to be a voice for US on any legislative puruits, nor do we see them as an Endorsement of whether or not this Committee is doing
a good job or a bad job in their
legislative endeavors.

We have seen very little out of this House Veterans Committee which is a departure from business as usual, or a carryover
from the Republican majority and the ongoing MisFires we have seen so far (solutions to misapplied problems which are NOT what we
asked for).

To that end, we call upon this Committee to revise, amend, and PASS the newly submitted VA Disability Reform Act, H.R. 5089 which seeks
to ELIMINATE the role of VSO's altogether
in Veterans disability claims as well as eliminate the VA Raters.

We shall not be deceived, hoodwinked and hijacked by government paid workers who are deceptively representing themselves as "the voice of Stakeholders". We are organized
and speak for ourselves. We are actively participating in the legislative process,
some of you are on our Emails lists,
and we do not need any "surrogates" to
pretend as Fraud cases, to be our
spokespersons on the pursuits of legislation.

Labor Unions for VA employees also do NOT speak for us.

We encourage this House Committee right now, to bring a swift and decisive END to the role of VSO's in veterans disability claims and to end the fraud schemes, the predatory "cottage industries" and the buffoon stunts which are apparently fronted by these VSO's while the oversight offices are also apparently
suckered into looking the other way when
their fraud schemes, their incompetencies,
and their malpractices are brought to the attention of oversight legislators on this
Committee.

We ask that Committee members stay expressly focused on the work of STAKEHOLDERS who are the only true and legitimate voice of the Veterans effected by your legislative efforts.

We are reminded that Bob Filners very
first step into a Committee mudhole
was to give a bunch of Filipino's not
even living in this country, full VA
benefits rights and tanking the budget
by $1 Billion --- only to turn around
and have Filner himself tout the budget
increase of this $1 Billion to be some
kind of faker victory for US !!!

This is why you all have to keep
yer eye on the ball, Boys because
it's buffoons, charades, and stunts
all over the place out here. It's
a real circus and funhouse with
spooky gremlins and special effects
mirrors.
