I have read through this forum and noticed that a majority of those in politics who have helped Veterans/Military are from the Democratic side. But by all means, vote a Republican if s/he has been doing a sensible job.
Read this piece from Vets for Justice: http://www.vetsforjustice.com/87Billion.htm Although I don't entirely agree with everything that was stated, I do agree on one thing: Pres. Bush needs to be replaced. The very same man who sent troops off to war then turned around and cut combat pay in half, $1.5 Billion cut in Family Housing, $20 billion cut in Military Healthcare & no healthcare for reserves. How about the troops that had insufficient protective gear who went to war? http://www.bushin30seconds.org/150/view.html?ad_id=2149 He entered into a surplus but now we have a $400 billion dollar deficit. As of Aug. 26, 2004 there were 2.90 million unemployed and 343,000 filed unemployment claims with only about 5,000 resulting from Hurricane Charley. That leaves 338,000. http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/employment/2004-08-26-jobless-claims_x.htm 26 Aug 04 - Poverty has risen to 1.3 million. There are 1.4 million uninsured. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5829707/ We need change but that won't happen unless you vote. Please do and encourage others. ~ It's time for a change. ~ |
