Ok, help me with this on guys and gals. I just read that those veteran who are at least 50% disabled; are eligible for both military retirement and VA benefits, in fact it's a law.

This is the first time that I have ever heard about this; has anyone else heard about this?

This would be information; that myself and other veterans would like to know about.

Hi Jim,
Thank you for replying, if this is what they mean by military retirment benefits; then i have heard the same thing, and I think it's a good ideal.

However, the prices at the bx, px, and commissary need to come down down; in order for it to be a benefit to the military or the veterans. More than half the stuff can be purchased down town cheaper.

AAFES does a good job in supplying the merchandise, but at a good price; it would be more of a benefit for the military and veterans if they could swipe their ID cards through a scanner downtown, and get a discount.
