Does anyone know the correct answer?
90%IU P&T; going to have a total knee replacement. I know about the 100% for a year;
Will I receive my current IU rate and the 's'
rate at the same time? My knee is only 20% (thats all I could get since 1992).
Thanks,

Dan

First you will only get 30% for your knee replacement. Second you will get the SMC-S due to your rehab and that may or maynot last 1 year. You can get a 60% rating for the knee if after 1 year you continue to have problems and arthritis int he knee.

Thanks for the info on the knee rating that I will get. I'm thankful for the increase. Back to the original question, will I receive my current IU rate plus the 's' rate for how ever long that I am allowed to receive it?

Thanks,

Dan

As long as your house bound, yes. If you not house bound, no.

Once again thanks, for the info. May I ask,
Did you have the surgery and are you 100% VA
rated, not IU?
