Ok I have been reading this forum a bunch an it seems us VET'S is getting the shaft// BOO HOO
I came back to the world in 69 an found a closed sign. worked every crap job I could just to survive,thought I was NORMAL!!!
Untreated PTSD,, 37 years before I filed, I went looking for medical care an came out with a nice monthly 100% service connected check.
year an a half is what it took.
Apearently I was actually sick with this illness
During the time that I was required to do this an that and to go here an there, playing by there rules,,, I would run into many other Vet's, ALL could & did offer up advice on just how to go about defrauding the V.A. out of a check.
I am not a Medical Dr. and have just a small bit of college, But when I watch a person for many, many months who looks like they just crawled out of the worst garbage can one can imagine every morning an then a bit down the road has received their 100% whom now is sporting a GQ look & a new ride, this instant CURE is what pisses me off,, CAUSE MY CURE didn't happen when I got MY check.
Far to many VET'S are pretending to be ill just to get a check an that is a fact.

I read your post and it pissed me off. Let me get this steight, you are upset because Medical doctors have found some vet's ill and the VA has giving them a rating based on that illness.

Let me guess YOU are the EXPERT on who should get a disability check or not, and who is disabled are not. (I DON'T THINK SO, AND I'M GLAD.)

Perhaps, their tired of living in the "trash can," so when they get their back pay pay from the VA they want what has been denied them for so long.

Before I got my disability which took for ever, I was unemployed, and homeless, I lived in my broken down old Honda; wher ever I could, and when I got my disability, the first thing I did was to junk my old bucket of bolts, rent an appartment, where I could be safe, and take a shower.

I don't look like a GQ male model but I am now able to buy me a few new cloths. My illness is in check but not cured; there has been no instant cure, and I also want my health back.

I'm not pretending to be sick, ARE YOU, I know that there are other veteran's out there that feel the same way I do.

Before you cast any stone's; perhaps you should get a clue and leave your uneducated guesses at home.

I would call to your attention the Veteran that tried to collect for PTSD, because he watched the reports on TV about Vietnam.
So you must be a person that lives in a bubble.
Do you beleive that any an all who served should collect?
I live in a small MTN. town in the Rockies an have come across 3 VETs.whom collect
Two who collect for so called back injuries Number 1 has an 80% rating this Veteran shoveles snow by hand from his drive way every year plus several others,, Along with his bull ridding at the fair each year,, I have heard that bull ridding can be very hard on a back! I have spoken with him an he freely admits that there is nothing wrong with his back, His words " if the gov. is giving away money he's going to get all he can"
Number two Vet,, Collects 60% an cuts & splits firewood each year,,LOT's of it!! It's his business.
I have never seen either one using a back support
Number3 collects 100% for PTSD,, because someone called him a JEW/// He was in the Nam 63-64 in Saigon as a mail person. He allowed to read his stressor statement, 14 pages of conflecting BULLSHIT. According to him he single handed won the war.
SO if your typing by brail, an getting benifits for being blind, I can understand your attitude
If not an you honestly have never seen any Vet faking an injury for a check, I would have to beleive that you are part of the problem, or you just enjoy feeling sorry for yourself.
