The national Veterans Pro Bono
Consortium has been around for
many years and is based out of
Washington DC. Don't expect a lot
but only in a few cases, do
they actually provide a service
to Veterans. They are a non profit
organization, who was created
with so many exclusions in place
that ya have to ask yourself,
"why even bother?" but to the
extent that anyone can qualify,
then here is there information.

They do not represent Veterans
in Federal Tort Claims. They
do not represent Veterans at the
VA Regional Offices or the Board
of Veterans Appeals. They only
represent at the Court of Veterans
Appeals. You must first have a denial
in place at the BVA.

They are nothing more than a listing
service for lawyers. If they decide
you are income qualified, then they
list your name in a registery for all
of their lawyers to look at. You may
or may not be contacted by anybody,
and of course, if nobody contacts you,
then here comes the pile of excuses
why the Consortium can't do a dam
thing to help you.

Also if you do get contacted, they
will only take your case "as is"
and by that I mean they will only
Tit-For-Tat on what the BVA says.

If you want to get a large, extended
court order filing package and want
to allege all kinds of VA criminal
misconduct and all kinds of complicated
circumstances, then forget it. They
will all disappear into the woodwork
and refuse to take your case.

They only want cases where it is the
Veteran who is definitely wrong so
they don't have to criticize or
speak badly of the VA while they
are litigating. Believe it!

If they can phrase the Veteran as
an idiot and totally the wrong person
in the case, then they are for YOU
because they are not interested in
taking on the VA for any reason.

For this they receive federal national
funding. Go figure.

If you think you can still be eligible
for their limited services, then
here is the Link:

If you want to report them is a fraud
case then go to our Grievances Forum
and dig up the jurisdiction destinations
who can oversee non profit corporations
and Courts.

The Court of Veterans Appeals does provide
a lawyer listing at their own website,
but News Flash: those are mostly the very
same lawyers who are listed at the
Veterans Pro Bono Consortium. After all
of that, you will be lucky if any one
of them calls you back or shows interest
in taking your case.

In 37 years, I have never received
any assistance from these places.
So I wish you the best of luck.

The Veterans Pro Bono Consortium is located
at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 131
in Washington.
