If police raided the Albany County Bar Association of Albany, NY tomorrow and closed the place down for criminal fraud and false
advertising, not a single New York Veteran would care or be effected. Anyone can log into their lame and sorry website at WWW.ALBANYCOUNTYBAR.COM and tour their system and you will find out under the Member listings that there is not one single licensed attorney who is signed up to do Veterans Law. I have been around and around with them in person, I go there, I have tried to report them out as a crap operation, but the local authorities still allow them to operate. They are maintaining an office in the Albany County Courthouse building and therein lies the problem. There is the governmental "perception" that because they are a non-profit sharing government halls, that somehow it is the Veteran who has it wrong. Not so ! If there is a police officer out there looking for a good collar then look no further than the operations of the Albany County Bar Association. There is not a single disabled person in all the county who is receiving a pro bono attorney from them, and the hokey lawyers use the Bar website as a free "advertising" gimmick and nothing more. They list, and then do not accept cases when you call them. And you might be thinking: "Gee Sue, why not just go to the New York State Bar Association and be done with it?" News Flash: The New York State Bar Association does not provide any pro bono attornies AT ALL to Albany County !! The County Bar Assn. is our only available pit stop. We are left to fend for ourselves almost right from the time that we leave the VA Hospital from surgical care here in Albany, NY thanks to the crap operation of Albany County Bar.
