The newly introduced Bill by the
Senate known as the Compensation
For Combat Veterans Act
, S.2309.IS
is a short and sweet revision to
existing VA law.

Plain and simple, it reduces the
evidence burden on combat Veterans
to only have to show that they
were stationed in any combat
zone to receive VA compensation
for combat related injuries.

This effectively removes a whole
other layer of evidence burdens
which have previously been imposed
on combat Veterans by a misguided
interpretation ruling made by
the VA's own Office of General
Counsel.

All Veterans and Activists are
encouraged to support and get
behind the passage of this Bill.

There is nothing about it to NOT
like, and everything to gain
by backlogged combat cases in
the system.

You can retrieve the actual
legislative language by going
into www.Senate.gov and clicking
on Legislation on the top tab,
and then clicking on THOMAS
as your legislative selection,
and then typing in the Bill
ID S.2309.IS into the search
form.

This is a Vets for Justice victory
Bill so please everyone, get
behind it. We still have more
work to do on this topic, but
combat cases are a good place to
start. It's a step in the right
direction by this Senate.
